Day 1 // DELHI:

Arrive at India Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. Traditional welcome with fresh marigold flower garland and transfer to hotel.

Day 2 // DELHI:

After breakfast stop by the Red Fort for photography from outside - the massive sandstone fort built by Shah Jahan on the banks of river Yamuna, Jama Masjid - is the largest mosque in India and stands across the road from the Red Fort, built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan 1648 CE. About 20,000 people can pray here at a time. Rajghat - is the cremation ground of great father of the nation, Mahatama Gandhi. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing of New Delhi - Qutub Minar- its construction was initiated by Qutubudin-Aibak in 1199 CE upon becoming the first Sultan of Delhi; Mughal Emperor Humayun's Tomb - its architecture may have influenced the construction of the Taj Mahal in Agra; Baha'i Lotus Temple - this distinctive lotus shaped marvel in marble is a symbol of peace; India Gate (the war memorial), Parliament House and Presidents House (from outside). Day 3 // DELHI - AGRA (200 Kilometers or 125 miles in 4 hours):

Morning transfer by air-conditioned Tata Indigo Car to Agra in about 4 hours. Upon arrival check in to the hotel. Afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The elegant palaces in the fort reflect an interesting synthesis of Hindu & Islamic architectural styles and Emperor Akbar's tolerant religious philosophy. Later marvel at the fine craftsmanship at a marble factory where traditional artisans still work using similar hand operated implements that their forefathers had used more than 300 years ago when they worked to build the Taj Mahal. Day 4 // AGRA:

Wonder at the world famous Taj Mahal in the glow of morning sunlight. There will be ample time to admire the harmonious architecture of this mausoleum, that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast proceed to visit the tomb of Itmad-ud-dullah, a Persian noblemen who migrated to India during the reign of Emperor Akbar. He was the father of Nur Jahan, the Queen of Emperor Jahangir who designed and supervised the construction of this two storied white marble tomb decorated with inlay of black marble and various shades of jasper stone. Overnight stay in hotel in Agra.

Day 5 // AGRA - JAIPUR (232 Kilometers or 144 miles in 5 hours):

After breakfast drive to Jaipur with stop to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the capital that Emperor Akbar built and lived in for only 14 years before it was deserted for almost 400 years. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival in Jaipur check in to the hotel. In the late afternoon demonstrations of wooden block printing on cotton textiles, woolen carpet weaving as well as cutting & polishing of precious & semi-precious stones. Overnight stay in hotel in Jaipur.

Day // 6. JAIPUR:

After breakfast drive through the Pink City for a sunrise view of the Hawa Mahal, the palace of winds that served as a parade viewing gallery for the women of Maharaja's family. Drive further to Amber Fort crowning the crest of an Aravali range hill. A royal ride on elephant up to the palaces will take your imagination in the world of Amber Maharajas. After sightseeing of the palaces built by Maharaja Man Singh and Mirza Raja Jai Singh, drive back to hotel with stop to view the Jal Mahal Palace island in the center of a lake in the north of walled Jaipur city. In the afternoon sightseeing tour visit the Maharaja's City Palace - museums which contains the original collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur miniature paintings and large portraits, royal dresses and typical Rajasthani handicraft. Drive through the walled pink city, the official buildings and the market places of Jaipur. Later wonder at the massive masonry, precision astronomical instruments at Sawai Jai Singh's Jantar Mantar observatory. All but one of its 17 instruments are still functional. The sundial has an accuracy of 2 seconds. Overnight stay in hotel in Jaipur.

Day 7 // JAIPUR - DELHI (260 Kilometers or 162 miles in 5 hours):

Morning is free to relax. After lunch drive to New Delhi. Farewell dinner and transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport to board your flight back to USA.

Please fill out the registration form and send an advance payment by personal check of $ 300 for 1st. class hotels accommodations or with an advance payment by personal check of $ 350 for deluxe class hotel accommodations. The balance is payable 60 days before departure date. On receipt of the registration form I will be glad to inform you the travel insurance premium amount. There is an extra charge of 3.75% for payment with Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit and debit cards because credit and debit card commissions and fees are not included in the price.
