DAY 01, Delhi - Jim Corbett National Park (6 hours drive)::

After an early breakfast, drive at 8 AM about 300 kilometers or 186 miles in about 6 hours to arrive at Jim Corbett National Park at about 2 PM. The park is named after Jim Corbett, the legendary British, who turned from being a hunter to a nature and wildlife conservationist. There are lot of interesting stories and anecdotes in the atmosphere about him and his experiences. Corbett has a good Tiger population. It was here that the Project Tiger was launched in 1973 to conserve the dwindling population of Tigers. Four species of deer - Hog deer, Sambhar, Spotted deer & Barking deer and other prey like wild boar, support the predators. Besides Tiger, Corbett biosphere reserve is a heaven for 50 mammals, 580 kinds of birds and 25 reptile species. The Park has elephants, the Himalayan black bear in the higher elevations, sloth bear, variety of lesser cats and a large variety of avifauna. Nestling in the foothills of the Himalayas, it has an extremely varied topography and vegetation. This gives it a rich diversity of habitat and natural beauty. Flat valleys are interspersed with hilly ridges and the rolling grasslands of the Park known as the Chaurs that provide visitors with an excellent view of the animals. The Park spans across some 920.9 square kilometers at an altitude of 600 to 1100 meters in the foothills of the western Himalayas in the districts of Nainital and Pauri Garhwal. After check-in the hotel we go on the afternoon elephant safari. Overnight stay in the hotel.

DAY 02, Jim Corbett National Park (Morning & Afternoon Safari):

Enjoy the thrill of two safari tours today, the first one starts at 5.30 AM and then the second one starts at 3 PM. There will be plenty of time to relax in the forest lodge. Overnight stay in hotel.

DAY 03, Jim Corbett National Park – Delhi:

Depart for a second Elephant Safari Tour at 5.30 AM if not done on the day before. After lunch drive back to Delhi a distance of 300 kilometers in about 6 hours. Transfer to international airport to board the flight back to USA.

On receipt of the form I will be glad to inform you the travel insurance premium amount.
